Please note that this is a 1-day conference and that we have restricted the program to two main topics so as to allow time for conversation as part of each session. MERA is working with both sets of presenters to design opportunities for active dialogue and the exchange of views in which each participant has the opportunity to hear and be heard.

Summer Business Meeting   

1:00 PM The New Michigan High School Mathematics Curriculum - A Conversation with members of the Mathematics Work Group for the High School Content Expectations in Mathematics.  The lead speaker will be Dr. Christian Hirsch, Western Michigan University, with Steven Frank, Gull Lake Schools and Vice-President of the Michigan Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and Michael Weiskopf, Walled Lake Public Schools.

 4:00 PM Adjourn

 The hospitality suite is located poolside in the Holiday Inn and will be open Wednesday and Thursday evenings, before and after dinner, for those who are in the area.
